CHEAP WAY TO CAPTURE SSTV

If you want to try and capture any of the pictures on slow scan all you need is the following.

A computer with a sstv program downloaded and running.

For an interface you need a cable that will reach from your radio speaker jack or scanner (handheld or mobile or base) to the mic input jack on the computer.

I believe these are usually 1/8inch jacks or maybe a 1/4inch on some radios.

Set the radio to freq 145.800 when the iss is going to make a pass and then plug in the interface cable to the speaker jack. This will usually disable the radio speaker so you won't hear anything unless you run a cable to another speaker.

I use mmsstv which is free download and you can make the interface cable yourself if you want.

This setup is for --receive only-- but its really cheap. You can use the same setup for psk-31 on HF.
