I've been playing with SSTV on 10 Meters for the last month or so. (28.680 MHz) 10 has been great.

I snagged a few DX stations calling CQ. (I managed to work all of them). The most exotic was FR5SD from Reunion Island (In the Indian Ocean, north of Madagascar). Images below:

I just put 28.680 USB into SDRconnect and I hear some week SSTV at 17:10 UCT

Looks like I need to try and setup some SSTV decoder.
Heck, that was easy - QSSTV for Linux. Just installed it and caught the end of a CQ.

Great!

FWIW, Linux is my full time desktop, but I have a Windows computer on the side to run amateur software without needing wine or other win emulators.. The Windows program MMSTV decodes like all the others, but it has an extremely powerful editor to handle pictures and text. It's a real advantage when you;re sending.

Another frequency is 14.230 MHz. On 15 meters, 21.340 MHz is also recognized as an SSTV frequency, but there is very little traffic there..

I did some SSTV on 1296 in the past, 1 watt over LA county with quite a few hams.
Caught some SSTV from ISS, and 10 meters I hear some SSTV, Just never decoded anything.

14.230 is by far the most active frequency, with both local and DX stations depending on time of day and ionospheric conditions.

If 10 meters is open, you can also find SSTV DX on the illegal 11 meter band at 27.700.

Thanks, I will take a look. If the band is illegal then maybe the picture will be too ;-)
