This i know will be hard to believe but i am a long A$$ haul from VA Beach..And i get Full scale on the VA Stars trunking system..I am 523 miles away and i hear that site as well as many others in that state.Hampton site Abington Norton as well.This is not (Skip) or something like that as i can hear it 24/7 and full scale 90% Of the time..Someone explain this?I have been a ham for 30 years i know all about freak conditions at times but this never fades out.

i dont know i get all the sites..it was programmed using the rr database..still a long haul.listning to a chase on i77 right now wherever that is..109 miles from here to Norton VA.

Thats what i was thinking,It's not due to band openings or anything of the sort,I hear them around the clock..

If an out-of-district trooper (from the VA Beach area) is driving through Wise county, and he is affiliated to the Norton site, will you not hear his conversation with his home district in VA Beach? You are not hearing the VA Beach Directly, but via the Norton site.

I am in Indianapolis, and I have heard DNR call in service on Lake Michigan on the SAFE-T system, which is 800 MHz Trunked P25. No way I am hearing that directly.

Some TG's maybe programmed for 100% statewide vs Affiliation only - all that is beyond us as hobbyists and handled by the SAFE-T system admin...

However, back to your screen shot, you showed you were/are hearing the Norton site.
