ST-2 antenna

The stock cable RG-59 that comes with the antenna has f-connectors.
The F - BNC adapter is supplied is bad.
I tried to replaced it with Amphenol 242154,
but the center cable is to thick for the adapter center hole.
Looking for an adapter that would work.

Why not remove the f connector and push on a compression BNC? If you don’t have the tools a cable guy would probably do it for you? They sell BNC compression types at Lowe’s and Home Depot

I haven't mic'd the center cable for its diameter yet.

To the best of my knowledge ST-2 antennas (all the different names throught out the years)came from the factory with RG6 coax I thought.

How long is your run?

Might be a good time to just replace the entire coax run with something better.

That way would of course be best, eliminate that bit of loss with the adapter, but just to be contrarian, a decent adapter is no farther away than Amazon. I got a pack of 6 gold-plated ones for under $10, I think it was. All were far better quality than the OEM ST-2 adapter that fell apart the first time I tried to use it.
