Is st Charles parish still using their Motorola system or have they switched to the LWIN system. Thanks in advance.

Yes. But not daily. Daily ops are on LWIN, all LE and EMS are encrypted.

They have been on LWIN for years(at least S.O. has). More and more of the parish ops as well FD ops are either on LWIN or moving soon. The old MOT system is still up( unless it just recently was turned off).
All parish wide (LE, FD, EMS, DPW) are on LWIN. The Motorola system is still online, but there is talk of upgrading it to P25 and making it a part of the Ascension Regional Public Safety System, which is what Ascension, St James, & St John Parishes use for their primary system.

I had heard a rumor about that but didn't want to say 3rd party hearsay. Interesting. Always kind of wondered why they weren't part of River parish system from the gitgo.
