St. Clair County Central Dispatch 800 System Update

The Central Dispatch Authority is a no go. The board decided to not spend the money to form it's own seperate dispatch alliance. It is back under the Sheriff's Control which pisses a lot of people and other departments off due to them being bias.

Also regarding the 800 system.

The full switch is put off till March instead of April but all the Sheriff Cars have the 800 radios in their car as well as a MTX5000 prep to use for testing. All normal traffic will still be done on the old UHF system till further notice.

Interesting developments in St. Clair County. Do they plan on adding anymore radio towers down the road?

The Kimball tower which is less then 1 mile from my home is up but they havent' set a date to hook the tower up to a power source nor download the software for it yet.

The Algonac, Riley, Yale and Burchville towers are constuction.
