The RR database has 154.04000 listed as "law enforcement south". I haven't heard anything on it from my QTH in Trussville. Any ideas? I know it was the main frequency for Sheriff & Small Town PD for years.

154.0400 is still used. I was using the RS 800Mhz antenna & when I switched to the stock they came in weak but readable.
I don't know about the North & South designations, seems like they are reversed in the database. The correct PL for 155.9700
is 203.5.

St. Clair County does indeed still use 154.0400 MHz as the South channel with a PL of 186.2.

154.040 St.Clair

St Clair 154.040 ...

When I went through on I-20 on St.Clair's west side heading to Birmingham... it was very weak unless I was over on the eastern end of I-20.

Using Antennex ABSCAN and Uniden 996.

I downloaded via ARC 996 the St.Clair County data and I get lot's of traffic on the other channels.

I do remember back in the late 70's when 154.040 was THE channel for St.Clair.

Take care!!
