St. Francis Sheriff Dept. received call of possible missing persons on Burnt Creek Lake near Widener. Relatives reported them missing when they did not return home and found their vehicle and boat trailer still at the boat ramp. A line of strong storms and high winds were passing through the area when the report was received.

The 3 individuals - a male in his 70’s, a female approx. 50 years old and a third (younger) subject of unknown age - were boating on Burnt Cane Lake and became stranded when their boat ran out of fuel.

They tied up on the south bank of the lake and the younger subject began walking out to retrieve fuel. That subject then got lost in the woods and was found by SFCSO & OEM at approx ~1800 when he finally made his way back to the boat ramp.

SFCSO & OEM made contact with the 2 individuals in the boat @ 1947. They were being transported via 4-wheeler back the boat ramp area. Both individuals reported to be in good health and good spirits.

UPDATE - Male subject is a cardiac patient suffering from shortness of breath and hypothermia. OEM requesting AirEvac Lifeteam to make scene for transport. Memphis is shut-out due to storms & wind in area. Discussing secondary hospital.......

UPDATE 2 - OEM told AirEvac to 10-22 will transport to Forrest City via ambulance.
