I recently noticed that St. Joseph county fire units have began using a repeater system and during heard dispatch ask the unit are you on the new channel or the old and was told “old”, anyone have any information on this?
St. Joseph County 9-1-1, applied for and recently received new FCC licenses to operate on the following narrowbanded frequencies:
151.2125 MHz.
154.7325 MHz.
155.5425 MHz.
Punch these into your scanner and lets us know if you are hearing any fire transmissions or not? Likewise, if you can shed any light on what exactly the other freqs are being used for, it would be greatly appreciated.
It would appear that the “new” channel is151.2050 with a PL of 123.0 and is also a repeater system. It also is simulcast on their old 154.070.
