So, I saw a new listing lately for St. John Ambulance and I decided to put it in the radio. Now St. John is by no means active much in my area, in fact I haven't heard them in years. But this morning, though I heard a brief radio check.

You're lucky they didn't encrypt. Over here years ago, when they switched to XPR6550, it was all encrypted.

Here in Niagara Falls they are using Hytera DMR radios, encrypted, and on some kind of trunked system. I don't know many details about what they are using, but I have used their radios at special events to communicate with them. The only thing I know for sure is they use and abbreviation "MFR" which stands for Medical First Response.

I would have to look through my photos, but I may still have a picture from 2022.
