I'm picking up a frequency I have not heard before.

The frequency is 42.4000Mhz

It appears to be a police department somewhere, talking about a car pulled over waiting to search it. The only thing othe rthan unit numbers (585, 721) I can hear is they keep mentioning St. Joseph like it is a county or town. For example they say St. Joseph 2 to 875...

There are female and male voices and they appear to have a southern accent.

The PL/DPL is 173.8

Anyone out there know where I am hearing? I'd ask in the Pennsylvania forum but I don't think it is PA!

They just mentioned Leopard Road...

Low band's open again! You're getting Missouri State Police Troop H.

EDIT: I'm getting it too. Wow!

I wasn't expecting it during the day but it is crazy again today. I'm hearing what appears to be a prison (they are doing counts in the compound)---sounds like a female prison.

45.42000

They are on eastern standard time. Anyone know what this is?

EDIT: Maybe I'll start a new thread?

Low band open during the day? 45.4200 Women's Prison

EDIT: I'll start a new thread--not sure anyone will find this one here

Does anyone know what I'm hearing. The frequency is:

45.4200Mhz

It sounds like a prison, they keep doing counts and saying counts are cleared in the compound. It sounds like a southern accent, it sound slike mostly women so it may be a womens prison. They mentioned a time that seems to be 1 hour earlier than eastern standard time so they are west of me most likely.

I know low band is open but I'm surprised it is open during the day.

Definitely a prison...talking about "Charley Dorm" the chaplain different officer names (Officer Dupree)

Any ideas what I'm hearing??
