On my 246t with Dynamic Memory everything goes in by county. I then break it down between Police and Fire depending on what I want to hear. I had considered putting saint louis county police in its own sub-category, but never got around to it.

On my other scanners I just break it down by County. Not the best as far as listening goes due to the high volume of traffic in areas like Saint Louis County... but i only monitor the county that i'm actually in so its not that big of a deal as I rarely go into saint louis county anymore.

If you don't have a scanner with dynamic memory you should consider getting one. They are amazing when it comes to customizing your groups and fine-tuning what you are listening to.

Sorry I can't be of more help!
Good luck!

Also, knowing your scanner model and what other areas you want to be programmed in your scanner would be beneficial! If you only want Saint Louis County stuff in your scanner then you break it down into South County, West County, North County etc which would help limit the number of channels you had to scan.

How about scanning 380-390 NFM in CC-only mode when near the city and seeing what turns up? I'm curious to know if there is more than what I'm already aware of.
