We have established that I am too far from the City of St. Louis to pickup City Fire Dispatch but yesterday Jan 20th I was picking up City Fire right where it should be. I pulled up the Broadcastify stream to verify and was not missing anything. Today I am no longer picking up City Fire. Is there any explanation why it might have come in crystal clear for one day. I thought maybe they increased their power or something or added a tower but today its gone.

OK? Are you stationary while monitoring (not moving around)? Same exact location? No programming changes? Also why the need for a new thread? You could have continued discussion on the one you started here...

Sorry for the new thread I thought about continuing the last one but figured it was kind of a different situation.

Same exact location. In my house. I listen daily while working at home.

Probably just better conditions yesterday compared with today unless your programming changed or something.
And if you are really scanning all the Moswin sites as you implied in your other thread, you need to narrow the site list down to just scan those sites you can physically receive from you location. If scanning all the sites, your scanner is likely staying on the wrong site much of the time which will cause a lot of missed traffic as well as false site info displayed making you think you are receiving sites from across the state.

What is your approximate physical location where your and your scanner are located?
I can receive the cities 800 MHz site 2-01 out in Chesterfield and beyond but it can become tricky at times.

No programming changes. I held the scanner on the dispatch channel same way I did yesterday while listening and while streaming the channel online to compare. I live near Olive and Fee Fee.

Since nothing changed other than receiving the channel I actually think it might have been tropospheric ducting. Thank for that explanation.
