I have heard a couple times, in the past and once again today, city FD working a fire in a high rise or a building with sub basements. Today they switched to DVRS-Bravo or maybe it was DVR-Bravo. There was no reception on my scanner from around five miles or so from the fire scene. I am guessing it is a direct channel that does not use the repeaters on the trunked system. Does anyone have an idea as to what direct frequencies might be used with channel? My guess is that the only way will know is to be on scene and use the close call feature. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Like mmckenna showed, the battalion chiefs do have a system like the portable repeater shown. And thanks to Starcom21 I will check those frequencies he showed us. I will check closer for anything that might work. Guess I will have to wait for the next use of the system and hope I will be close to the incident or maybe the incident being close to me.
