St. Mary's County Police Channels

Just picked up a Sds200 and live in Southern Calvert. All fire channels are coming in clear with no issues but I have not heard a peep out of any of the police channels. Am I missing something that is preventing them from coming through or are we just not able to listen?

Law enforcement TGs via the St Mary's County system are encrypted, thus un-monitorable.

That's good to know! I did have that scanning but there wasn't much coming through. I might be just a little too north to pick it up.

I have not picked up anything on 39.38 for the past day or so. Anyone else notice as well? Normally rx fine here in Great Mills area.

I do like it! Can pick up things a lot further away then I use to. Great reception! I debated between the 2 and decided the 200 would fit a bit better and can take it in the vehicle when I want.

Do u like sds200 scanner i have sds100 works very good

I have both, and both are solid performers on FIRST and the St Mary's Harris system when I'm down that way (might be in the area today AAMOF.)
