Just started catching st. marys pd on 855.7375,d155. they have for many years used 155.130 repeater so unsure why they switched?

Just started catching st. marys pd on 855.7375,d155. they have for many years used 155.130 repeater so unsure why they switched?

Just spitballing here, but it's possible they switched to 800 MHz so they could use radios capable of operating on MARCS for interoperability without having to tote around multiple radios, but also 1) maintaining control of their own radio system, 2) not spending a fortune on being a MARCS customer, or 3) all of the above.
