Stafford County Fire 154.175 ???

As of Friday evening, October 14th, our older scanner tuned to Stafford County Fire alerts (Dispatch) on 154.175 has been silent. Heard radio traffic on the 700 MZ TRS but not the original dispatches on 154.175. Is the VHF system down or has Stafford joined NOVA counties like Arlington and Fairfax to cease a dispatch channel aside from the TRS?

Stafford VHF

There has been some technical difficulties with the VHF system over the past couple of weeks.

At this time the VHF system is still too vital for alerting volunteer members and as back up station alerting. Hopefully this need will continue for the near future.

On the other hand, with a new CAD system in the works, if a CAD based alerting system such as alpha page or SMS text can provide such alerting (in real time with minimal delay), the VHF system could find itself fading away.
