FD got a call of a overdose, RP came out and said anyone that came near him that he would shoot em. Then went back in.

Turning out to be:

62 Year old male held up in his residence, has Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, is armed with a handgun and possibly a rifle.



Monterey Park PD and FD setting up Unified Command.
305 E Fernfield is target location.
Air 7 onscene.
Gleason@Wilcox is CP location.

Correction to earlier: RP lives in house with subject, she left to call paramedics/PD and subject then told RP t hat he will shoot anyone that comes near structure.
