I was monitoring the POTUS visit, and was curious how these frequencies might be in play:
Santa Clara County, California (CA) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
Stanford University
Police
See Palo Alto PD
Frequency License Type Tone Alpha Tag Description Mode Tag
483.33750 WIK206 RM 047 DPLSUDPS3 Police Tactical FM Law Tac
483.56250 WIK206 RM 032 DPL SUDPS4 Police Tactical FM Law Tac

As a background check, I looked here:
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?action=fcc&fccCallsign=WIK206
..but the page never loads. Here is an external link to the license:
ULS License - Industrial/Business Pool, Conventional License - WIK206 - LELAND STANFORD JUNIOR UNIVERSITY - Frequencies Summary

Seems to be active...

But the frequency is also licensed to Crystal SMR:
WPSF801 (CRYSTAL SMR INC) FCC Callsign Details

Any idea if Stanford has abandoned this frequency?

It's just how the congestion of licenses is in the Bay Area; you can't have a UHF channel without someone else being on it. I'm sure they could probably coexist with their 400W ERP. It will overpower the 291W from Big Rock just fine.

Crystal is pretty fly by night as far as I'm concerned. I've seen a lot of their junk at sites.

They don't even have a website. Trust me I've looked. Unless they're running business under a completely separate name (for example the "National Science and Technology Network" vs. "Henry Radio"), I don't even understand how they advertise to their clients. Word of mouth?
