Can anyone confirm that STAR EMS based out of Crawfordsville is indeed using Firstnet LTE for primary dispatching?

There's a note on the Montgomery County Indiana page indicating as such, but also mentions NXDN for Metro Electronics repeaters (which, IIRC, used to host STAR EMS back in the UHF days in early 2010s).

Thank you in advance

There could be some confusion between Star EMS in Crawfordsville and another Star EMS located in Pontiac, MI. Having worked at the Star in Michigan for many years, we used to get calls from Indiana all the time (people/hospitals google Star EMS and call the first result that comes up). I can tell you for a fact that Star EMS in Michigan uses Firstnet LTE as their only radio system for dispatching, not sure what the Crawfordsville company uses.

Thanks for the info about Star EMS in Michigan and possible confusion between the two agencies - that might have led to the note on LTE usage by Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Will keep scanning/searching to try to nail down this one.

Thank you!

Monitoring of 464.0500 (Metro Electronics) reveals at least four (4) talkgroups in use.

TG ID = 28400 (appears business related)
TG ID = 18350 (appears related to construction/possible concrete delivery company)
TG ID = 100001 (unsure on usage... need further monitoring)
TG ID = 15750 (appears related to construction/possible aggregate delivery company)

Have confirmed that STAR EMS - headquartered in Crawfordsville - uses AT&T First Net for their primary radio system statewide in Indiana.

The only exception is in Clay County, where STAR is the sole EMS provider and dispatched by Clay County E911 on the SAFE-T system, with capabilities on Clay County Fire's 151.4000 Mhz (NXDN) repeater.

Additionally, STAR has access to SAFE-T for interoperability with other agencies in their primary areas of service: Regional MA-x talkgroups, state EMS transport talkgroups, and county/city fire talkgroups.
