I think there is a tower in LaSalle county as well for the Will/Grundy(Kendall/D-5) system, just north of Seneca. I'm not splitting hairs. When I go that way, I turn sites on and off manually on my 996P2. I'm sure I'm missing some transmissions, but it works reasonably well.
I think there was a tower put in Seneca for the old Grundy County StarCom site that was absorbed by T113

STARCOM21 sites don't get decribed by which user(s) use them, so I believe the answer would be "no".
Agree with this. Northwest Central's site was named what it was to originate it from the original Cook North site before they were combined, and remains mentioned I would guess because they hold roughly half the licenses for it.

Additionally, us in this part of Illinois know the boundaries of D5, but someone from elsewhere probably won't and would have to look it up. You don't want to make it more confusing for people to figure out which site they need.

I'm seeing (but not hearing) activity on TGID 34046 on the Cook County site. Phase 2, Encrypted and Radio ID's are in the 183xxx series. It would appear testing is occurring..

University of Chicago Police, per previous testing in the clear on their SC21 site. Which Cook County site were you hearing this on?

I was afraid that was gonna be the answer...

It would appear they have migrated to Starcom. Alot of activity, a couple mobiles came up in the open mode probably in error, but almost all traffic is encrypted.

KANE COUNTY TESTING

I have been monitoring the 1.26 site (Kane County) for new activity regarding the addition of KaneComm moving to StarCom. I have been hearing test activity on 3328, 3330, 3332. I know it was for Kane county as the techs were on 3332 with the identical transmission going over 156.1725 (county EMA). Because the 33xx block of TG's isn't being used yet, I'm assuming the KaneComm will be taking that block due to this activity.

Yep. Mixed encryption so far. 3326-3350. Mostly P2, some P1. QuadCom will be on the 11080-11126 block whenever they finally go live.

They were out at an address in Peoria so that would make sense. "Base" was RID 576458.

Thanks!
That is correct. Community Development (aka code enforcement) just started using their TG recently. Probably won't hear much on that TG though as there are only 2 or 3 left in that department thanks to recent budget cuts.

TG 34046 is phase 1 in the clear. Site 5-024 RID's 183xxx series.

Still seeing some encrypted radios on the system today. This might deserve a small "e" for partial encryption? The base (RID 183999) is now coming up in the clear, before it was encrypted.

Does anyone have the RID file or know where I can find it for the SDS100? Or would it be better to start from scratch?

I was talking to one of the commanders of an agency that is dispatched by Kane Co Sheriff. They are expecting to cut over soon if not this week possibly. They also stated that they were going to have to purchase their own radios at $6K a piece and $35 a month user fee. They would only be able to budget for 4 radios for the officers on duty. The radios they going to be using are are on loan for the rest of the year at that time they can choose to go with Starcom or stay on the VHF as they were not planning on taking that system down.
