Anyone know who TG 6296 might be?
Monitored off Decatur South site 2.36, it's using TDMA and is full time encrypted.
Radio ID's are all 487xxx.
New Christian County tg maybe? Heard they were supposed to switch to Starcom.
The radio IDs don't jive to Macon Co.

Site 149 has been in site trunking for some reason since 10:46 this morning. No external traffic, so if you're wondering why you're not hearing ISP, that's why. Unitrunker on site 126 is showing DeKalb as being inactive too, but I'm not close enough to check it.
Car 109 (15-109), reported his radio was in site trunking at Plaza 24 a short ime ago.

On 6101 I have a 474010, 474012, 474021, and 476046.
On 6104 I have 477012, 476047, 474505, and 474524.
On 30387 I have a bunch of 4138xx IDs with a couple 4134xx's thrown in.
Hearing TriCom FD TG 11044 P2 on T 113 here in Joliet....Wonder if this has anything to do with that new tower in Batavia
DeKalb City tower is operating as normal
A complete SWAG on my part, I believe 30387 to be McLean Co Health Dept. However, no proof.

Greg you might be right as the animal control is 30377 i think i would guess due the encrytion have you picked the new sc 21 tower down at the Law and Justice Andy
Two different listeners have reported discovering a new (to them, at least) STARCOM21 Site (258). It has a control channel on 773.83125 and is showing up as a neighbor to Sites 229 (Normal) and 229 (Congerville). Can anyone shed any light on this site's location, NAC, neighbor list and other site frequencies?
Does anyone know who uses 79xxx-series RIDs or 247x- and 248x-series talkgroups? A limited number of affiliations by 79xxx RIDs with TGs 2476, 2477, 2487 and 2488 on Site 101 (DuPage County) have been noted over the past six months or so along with an encrypted transmission on TG 2487.
So here's what has been confirmed so far for this new SC21 site -

All freqs are covered by the state's 700 MHz "blanket" license (WPTZ798).
Neighbors: 202 (Leroy), 229 (Congerville), 229 (Normal), 252 (Arrowsmith), 253 (Lexington)
Now to confirm the location......
Searching around that blanket license, a real PITA, I was able to find a list of 700mhz counties.
Tazewell is on that list, however not listed on RR as having a SC21 site.
But once again, I'm guessing.

I was surprised I didn't hear any activity McLean Co Shf 4 which is the law and justice center talk group on the Normal site when I was in town. Now it makes sense why.

Have been wanting to get a scanner for a while. Thinking about ordering a BCD325P2. I am in Lake County IL and would like to monitor the police agencies around here. I see that the lake county Sherriff is encrypted, however I am having a hard time understanding if this would mean I would not be able to receive any other city/village police agencies such as Antioch, Round Lake Beach, Lake Villa, etc... If those are all encrypted as well than I would rather save my money. My main wish is to monitor police transmissions.
