Looking for info re: STARCOM21 use in Adams County, IL. I heard a good deal of activity from EMS units and what appeared to be Adams County Sheriff's Department ("SAM") units on SC21 TG 30301 (ITTF Central Zone Ops A) related to the Trump rally at the Adams County fairgrounds on June 25th. RIDs were in the 425xxx range (see STARCOM21 Statewide Illinois-RID 21 - The RadioReference Wiki for RIDs logged). I'm looking to determine if these agencies normally use STARCOM21 (and these RIDs) or if these might have been radios belonging to a cache in that part of the state. Thanks in advance!

CPD 5700-A (CPD Carjacking Taskforce SDSC-Strategic Support Center), has been coming up on Starcom RID's 5751507/5751508, which correspond with CPD's Radio ID structure. The officer(s), broadcast on DC-Priority, local CPD Zones when they get an LPR (License Plate Reader) hit on the expressway. The radio shops were testing Starcom radios last week.

I heard 5700-A come over Chicago Priority and it sounds much better than when they were on the VHF patch.

With CPD transitioning to a P25 system, does anyone know if have any Starcom talkgroups programmed in to their radios or if the Chicago Simulcast system will be setup as another zone on the Statewide Starcom system like Cook County does? It would make sense from an interoperability standpoint, but I know Chicago tends to do their own thing since they are so big.

What site? If I heard it I would be able to identify who it is.
It was Site 101 (DuPage County), so I'm guessing that it was being carried at least zonewide if not statewide. Some/most of the calls I heard were in the East Dubuque area, but they could have been in nearby unincorporated areas.

Unit numbers should be a good clue for someone who knows them well from listening to their VHF law enforcement freqs (which I don't).

Caught Algonquin 904 and 906 at what sounded like a roadway incident on SC21 TG 34218. Can anyone advise which department this would be (Fire? Police? Emergency Management? Other?) as well as a name/use for this talkgroup?

Is there anyone in the Northwest part of the state who might know what TG 1659 is used for in Stephenson County? A recent monitoring report from T111 (Rockford) indicates that RIDs 70013, 70262 and 70264 recently used this talkgroup. Thanks!

Affiliation or grant reported on SC21 TG 1386, RID 37282 (Site 111 - Rockford). TGs 1384 and 1385 are Boone County FD talkgroups - does anyone know what TG 1386 is called / used for?

When I was listening to it one night, it sounded like a hospital.
I couldn't make out which hospital, but I assume it was in Freeport, based on the TG id being in that same range.

District-Chicago has been dispatching District-5 units (again) since yesterday. They're using the same RID configuration as in the past:

1904391: Dist.Chi (D2A)
1904392: Dist.Chi (D5A)
1904393: Dist.Chi (DC-A)
1904394: Dist.Chi (DC-B North)
1904395: Dist.Chi (DC-C Middle)
1904396: Dist.Chi (DC-D South)
1904397-1904399: Dist.Chi (DC Tac & Detail A, D2B, D5B channel operators)

Operators can temporarily be on multiple talkgroups for breaks and lunches so it's possible to see RID's on more than one talkgroup at times.

***I've also been hearing and have seen District-5 units on Interstate 80 from 94/394 to the State Line***

3rd Day that District-Chicago has been dispatching District-5 on D5-A

District 5 has taken over patrol duties on Interstate 80 from 94/394 to the State Line, and also have heard them on Interstate 394 in Cook County handling accidents, traffic stops etc.

I haven't been keeping up with tricom recently why is there now 4 dispatch TGs in the database?
Capture.PNG
All the new updates to the tricom talkgroups are inaccurate just like KaneCom channels. Where did all this false-info come from?

OLREC (Oak Lawn Regional Emergency Center) Net-10 departments are encrypted on TGID 36962 (OLREC-2) as of this morning. This includes Bridgeview, Burbank, Hodgkins.

“Currently, with the analog system, people can look at (police) scanners, listen to scanners, listen to all radio communications,” Mancha said.

A benefit of having a digital radio system “is no scanners will be able to listen to the police radio. They’ll be secure in that sense,” Mancha said.

“Slowly, communities are changing over (to digital),” Landek said. “The big thing is privacy. The police scanners won’t pick up anything from a digital radio.

“Some people hear the radio scanners and run out (to a crime scene),” Landek said. “When you think about it, it’s common sense. Criminals must have (police) scanners, too.”
