I've heard VHF ISPERN patched to Priority before.. That is a Villa Park PD IDJust heard a Stone Park PD unit using RID 274504 during a pursuit on Chicago Priority TG 9051...
It wasn't using VHF, it was using SC21, otherwise the RID would've been 0 if it truly was a patch from VHF. I clearly heard the unit identify itself as Stone Park PD unit 1205. I'm aware 274xxx RID's belong to DuPage Co, but Villa Park PD units use the 'Victor' callsign while Stone Park are the 1200s (can confirm since I still hear them using NORCOMM Net-16).I've heard VHF ISPERN patched to Priority before.. I belive thats in a IDOC RID BlockLooking for a STARCOM console ID 87653.... If anyone see's it, please post who is using it, and thank you....
Zone A channel 1 is DCPS TG 51 (DPD Dispatch)Heard Dekalb city police tell units to switch to A-1 this morning (analog?)
Been hearing dispatch only for some time now, guessing they're having more issues with Starcom
I also caught that while reviewing Chicago Priority (TG 9051) traffic from this past Sunday morning. Transmissions started at 1:19am. RID 275404 has been a Villa Park PD RID in the past, but the person transmitting IDd himself as "Stone Park 1205" twice. "1205" isn't a valid Villa Park PD unit number, so this can't be chalked up to the user mistakenly giving the wrong agency name. He called off the pursuit before any other units got involved. At one point it sounded like he reported that the offender was going 120 MPH.Just heard a Stone Park PD unit using RID 274504 during a pursuit on Chicago Priority TG 9051...
Did you note which talkgroup you heard that RID on?Is the Robinson C faculty on Starcom... that might be where it is coming from?
They're only paper ideas. Everyones still using the old stuffAnyone know how accurate these changes are or can site what prompted these changes? Sounds like district 15 units are still using this talk group for escorts.
It has been reported that these (and other) changes to ITTF and other interop-type SC21 talkgroups are on a "long term" roll-out that will take (if memory serves correct) 2-3 years to complete. I'm told that new radios are being programmed with these changes, but I imagine that it will be some time before the programming in all existing radios is updated. They're only paper ideas. The Burlington CFPD Chief is a Senior Engineer for Motorola....Heard Burlington fire on tri com fire short time ago using RID "34"
I Guess kane county fire departments are demoing starcom radios now.
My guess would be that DuPage ESTB sold or gave away their APX7000’s to different dispatch centers including NORCOMM that dispatches Stone Park. I doubt this was a rogue radio by any chance.I also caught that while reviewing Chicago Priority (TG 9051) traffic from this past Sunday morning. Transmissions started at 1:19am. I know that Villa Park PD (like the other PD and sheriff units on STARCOM21 in DuPage County) are transitioning over to new radios with new RIDs. I guess it's possible that an 'old' Villa Park PD radio might now be used by Stone Park PD, but this seems like a stretch to me.
Any possibility that this was a rogue radio?
You can listen for yourself by going to OpenMHz . You may have to scroll up until you get to 1:19am.
