No I was going to do some checking when it get home after work tonight.Did you catch the RIDs using it?
A friend of mine mentioned to me that he heard a Kewanee officer mention he was going back to Starcom on 4/11.Wiki shows the 42xxx block as Henry County Sheriff. I've never logged any RIDs in that block before.
Does it appear to be the same VHF freq / content patched to each of these talkgroups, Nick, or is each talkgroup carrying a different agency's paging? Are you seeing any RIDs during these transmissions? When you determine what each talkgroup is used for, would you be able to submit the information to the Radio Reference database?Anyone else log Talkgroups 29000 - 29013 as Monroe and Randolph County Fire paging only talkgroups? Hearing dispatch of calls but then nothing else. Wonder if they will retain vhf paging.
It's not unusual for various agencies in the same county to use RIDs in the same "block" (42xxx in this case).(snip)
I wonder if Kewanee is using the RIDs that were assigned to Henry County long ago?
I'm a little surprised by this but this could account for the traffic and RIDs?
I've added talkgroups 1221, 1225, 1641 and 1643 to the Radio Reference STARCOM21 database page under "Henry County", but descriptions for them are fairly generic at this time. Could someone determine if talkgroups 1221 and 1225 are Phase I or Phase II and report how they're being used? Between talkgroups 1641 and 1643, does one seem to busier than the other, possibly indicating that it could be used for dispatch? Is there an RID on that talkgroup that sees far more use than the others, possibly indicating that it is a dispatch console? Most of this morning I've had Talkgroup 1221, no encryption, coming across my local tower. Dispatcher is identifing as Henry County Dispatch (42400), the OEM unit is IDing as 7101 (RID:42406)
1641 seems to be the most used one.I've added talkgroups 1221, 1225, 1641 and 1643 to the Radio Reference STARCOM21 database page under "Henry County", but descriptions for them are fairly generic at this time. Henry County Sheriff's Office did use STARCOM21 at one time but reverted to using VHF in early 2012.

Here's what I've been able to gather so far:Anyone else log Talkgroups 29000 - 29013 as Monroe and Randolph County Fire paging only talkgroups? Hearing dispatch of calls but then nothing else. Wonder if they will retain vhf paging.
