Starnet Houston

Just need some info. Unable to hear starnet in houston and surrounding areas. I would like to know how it all works. Interested in listening to fd/pd. I own several uniden bc785d with a discone and yagi antennas hooked up. I can't seem to figure out how to set up the trunked system (control channels & talkgroups) in my scanners. I'm kinda new to this world but hoping some one can hel me out, thanks.

For the Northwest Side and most of Harris County, VFD is all conventional. What exactly do you need help with?
