If I remember correctly, the LE-5 talk group is DGIF. Well, someone needs to tell them about the "plain talk" initiative. They are still calling for 28's and 29's when they stop someone.

P.S. the other day I heard radio techs in Hampton closing a ticket on a tower light from the Fork Mtn site (which is the only one I hear reliably around here).

I thought the only agency who was moving to plain talk was VSP. Was it supposed to be all state agencies And yes, Law 5 is DGIF.

All law enforcement are supposed to be using plain language but old habits are hard to kill.

I think it was a Homeland Security initiative and then the Secretary reascended that and said use "plain talk" when you are dealing w/ outside agencies.

I suppose as an agency, DGIF has never been directed to stop using 10 codes.

I know C'ville/Albemarle and most of the surrounding counties are using plain talk. Hearing the traffic on LE-5 kinda stands out now....
