Hey. I travel from South Carolina up north frequetly, and I pass thru Virginia. I go on 77 and cross over to 81. I am in the process of programming my scanner for the trip in two halfs. I managed to program in all of the towers around 81 on the top half of my trip successfully.

When I went to the database to find out frequncies on the sites for the bottom half of 81, and 77, i noticed that alot of the sites are listed, but do not list the frequencies (Examples: flat top, big walker, e.river, beamer, white top, brumley, big a, high knob).

Does anyone know the control channels for these sites? Are they not functional yet?

Thanks for any and all input!

Keep scanning!, vince

Div.6 and 4 cover that corridor from the Rockbridge County line on south. Div.6 will not be online until Nov.6 (at least) and I don't think and activiation date is known for Div.4. Those sites with no frequencies are transmitter sites that we haven't yet matched with active transmissions. CC's could be online, but the users are still on their conventional systems.

gotcha. I just programmed in the conventional division 4 and 6 channels.

Are there any other divisions not already on the trunked system that I will need to know? I'm passing north>south on 77/81 down in to N.Carolina?

Thank you for your help.

Once you get past Rockbridge County on I-81 the other divisions have migrated to STARS. The Rockbridge/ Augusta County line is around the 203 mile-marker (give or take- I didn't look it up:) ), so Augusta, north you are currently good for STARS.

No more VASP on 159.000 and 158.985 here in the Division 1 area. Gone Digital!

Their Legacy Transmitters are now off.

Are All of the Medevac helicopters digital, now?

Lifeguard is still 155.385 I believe it is and it's analog. That's about the only one I pick up usually.
