It appears that the switch has been flipped. Listening to Div. 5 last night and on the way to Yorktown today. PD and V
DOT traffic showing on screen as having transmissions but no sound. Anyone else notice this. Thanks.

Yes, there are a couple of threads on this. People were reporting as agencies on STARS went encrypted. SSP was probably the latest agency. Division of Forestry and VSP were before that. The encryption deadline I had seen mentioned awhile back was by the end of this year.

Well there we are then....SSP was in the clear Monday. Probably the first time the state did anything on time.

Hopefully not! VIPER would be a lot more complicated because there are so many different agencies and departments, but I could be SHP going encrypted. Unfortunately if it's LE and streamed, it'll probably end up being encrypted, especially since most radios now have ADP or AES.
