Start key and % of memory issues

I am having minor (bur aggravating) issues. I am wondering if these are normal, if anyone else has the same issues.

First, when using Start Key FLs that have no start key assign turn off. They are supposed to be unaffected (if on-stay on; if off-stay off).

Second, No matter how much I upload to the scanner the "% memory used" data does not change. It continues to read: "memory used: 0%; Total size: 7.47; Free size: 7.42".

Any ideas?

The nationwide database is only a fraction of a gigabyte, too small to register on an 8gb card. Your personal favorite lists are far smaller...

One thing I'm doing is assigning all Favorites Lists to Config/Start up Key 0 in addition to the startup key(s) they would be otherwise assigned. That way if I want to "recover" a Favorites List, all I have to do is turn off scanner, hold the 0 down and power the scanner up.
