BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Start Up Keys

I have one of my start up keys on my 436HP programmed for agencies north of Lubbock, Texas on IH27. Can I use the same start up key for another location, Bastrop County, near Austin. I am using this as example to fully understand how these keys are used since I recently started using them.

Thank you, but I am extremely dyslexic and have difficulty reading technical manuals. For some reason, the architecture of my GRE PSR 500 was much easier to understand. Hence, I could understand the "Easier to Read" manual for the PSR 500 because I could understand how to program it.

I bought my 436HP in 2002. I learned to use the aforementioned keys after someone described to me in terms I could understand, during 2021.

What I am going to do now, which is how I generally learn, is play around with it and see how it downloads in my profiles, etc. I wish this radio allowed me to review what was on each start up key. I thought I saw this once when I moved the cursor over the various system Quick Keys.

You can add multiple Favorites Lists to any one Startup key. You can also have a Favorites List assigned to more than 1 startup key.

Don't feel bad. I am not dyslexic, and have real difficulty also trying to read these scanner manuals and make sense of them. Even the "Easy To Read" ones give me a hard time! Maybe I am to old fashioned and am not familiar with most of the terms used now. Or maybe I am getting dumb in my old age!

Yes, I found them anything but easier to read. I thought the manual that came with my GRE 500 and 436HP were easier to read. I am happy to hear I was not alone.

Where north of LBK are you?

I believe I went through and loaded all cities and counties from Lubbock to Amarillo. For some, I used the Pancom frequencies. In some cases, I might have added cities/counties fairly close to IH27.

try to avoid that area of Texas. I grew up in west Texas. My sister lives in Hale Center and my nephew lives in Lubbock.

I have yet to hear the new Amarillo system.
