I was wondering if anyone in the 2222/360 nw area of Austin would be interesed in starting a new CB net on a specific channel/time to talk to one another etc...test reception...
Interesting concept. 20 years or so, maybe longer- perhaps 30 years, I was heavy in the Ch 15 and Ch 33 USB group.
Will have to haul out something and get up an antenna... What are you thinking? SB or AM?
Intersted, as I may be moving, and making an antenna range site is a real pre-requisite for new location. (If I can't have the Pile-Of-Junk-In-The-Sky why would I want to live there?)
Hey, I'd be interested in using am mode...The CB I use is made by Midland...It is a handheld..I have 70 ft of copper wire insulated connected to the antenna..using Radio shack antenna, don't know the model number. It is the long metal one about 15.00 dollars..I unscrewed the middle portion of the antenna and inserted the copper wire down the antenna. Antenna is running through my window, through the top of the deck outside..on very high mast..get exellent reception!!!! Let me know what you think about starting a CB net here!!! Also, I seem to be picking up reception from Mexico?? I here Spanish speaking ladies on the CB at night. Would you happen to know anything about that as well??? Thanks for the reply!!
