startup display

I have downloaded a file my friend sent to me over the internet with the frequencies from his BCD996t. Now when I turn it on, it displays his name on the startup display. Does anyone know how to change this?

Edit the information in whatever software package you use and upload the info to the scanner.

I'm still having trouble finding where to edit this startup display. I'm using Butel and freescan. Any ideas?

In FreeSCAN, goto Scanner * Setup Scanner Options and then click on the General tab.
