State Fair ~ Meadowlands

Hello Gang...

It's fair time again, Here is the rides operations freq and tone I pick off last night at the State Fair at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, It is a simplex channel but I was able to hear some transmissions in Harrison nj Hudson County last night.

151.625 Mhz PL 100.0

The Meadowlands Security and Medical Teams are using some other crap system I say that because a friend of mine who works there tells me the radios DO NOT even across the parking lot. Also no coordination either with the fair vendor and EMS, they had a medical emergency at the rides last night and the person working the phones at the rides said " We don't have a number to contact EMS " someone find security " after I heard that I felt very comfortable knowing that if I had a medical emergency the response would have been delayed at best. All the years I been going to the place for the fair and sporting events they never to seem to have there act together over there I think the Devils and Seton hall basketball had it right getting out of there at least in Newark it seems everyone is operating on the same page.

I just have to get in on this just because. What you know and don't know is what is getting you here and i'm sorry to say what you dont know is making you think whats not true. In simple terms, I am a security guard for the NJSEA Meadowlands Racetrack. The way the system works, security is on their own system consisting of business type radios, i don't recall what they use, and in a "command center" type setting within the complex there is a security supervisor, and NJ state police. If EMS is required or Police etc, security can radio into command and then from there NJSP deploy EMS. Are the radios crap, yes at times they can be, but it is what it is with those. As far as feeling secure about going there and how you feel about not having their acts together, hey what ever you feel fine, just don't go on what you think or don't kow.
