Hi all, While I was out last night I saw a highway pickup with 3-4 antennas mounted on the cab roof.
It was getting dark so I could not get a pic. I will try to get one with a regular camera.
I have only known them to be on 47mhz. This would probably be a truck out of Taunton.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Depending on the area the unit works out of, they have been found in Low Band

but also on some 700/800 Mass DOT Talkgroups on the Analog MSP (some do have / have been heard on the MSP Troop channels in the past)
Mostly for the Turnpike/Boston Highway System

They are not as chatty compared to years ago, thinking with most Winter Ops being out-sourced/contracted they rely
on the State Assigned GPS phones vs two-way radio

Pete, what is 151.085 used for?
I have that one on my Uniden 125 that I carry with me when i'm on the road - When I'm in Boston I get What Seems like the HOC
( Highway Operations Center) talking to work Vehicles Infact I put all the DOT frequencies in low Band and the Obsolete VHF Hi Band ones to hear if they are used out on the Pike. I can say that 151.085 is used.
Bring 42.46 with you in the radio I've been catching troop D besides in New Bedford using this one out on 24 in Stoughton / Avon for speed traps.

The Taunton Dispatch is a flame thrower on 47.280 because he can reach the HOC in Boston and talk to vehicles in the New Bedford area on
195.

Im using on my work Vehicle the Same Antenna Specialist VHF UHF Antenna thats on all the state police vehicles. There is a guy that is selling them on EBay for like $9.00 with Free Shipping.

Hey If somebody here has a real account that can look up Frequencies (151.085) they can tell us if its a Massport or DOT HOC Frequency or something else? Its a Base Talking to Vehicles out on the highway.

Without a PL tone, it'll be very difficult to tell. What is the PL tone you're getting on 151.0850?

Whole Bunch of Boston Stations on that Frequency - Good Find !
I'm going to have to pay more attention to that one when on the road. I'm still going with the HOC Is what heard Last time say a week ago.
I have all 500 Channels loaded with stuff the radio fires right up when you get into Boston.

Other Mass DPW frequencies I found are 47.8800, 47.0600, 47.1800, 47.3200. These are mobile to mobile, statewide. From the FCC Database.

IF you look at the SNE Wiki for 151.0805 - there is NO PL/DPL nor Confirmation date, the info was listed based on the FCC license of WRJQ850
So in effect, No one has ever heard it or shared they have heard/confirmed it.

And a recent look at the FCC license, it may have been initially applied for as a Mobile Repeater (Pac/RT) since it is MO and MO3
