Towers

The state needs to put up a lot more towers in the mountain counties before they will switch to the DTRS system. The VHF systems now being used are not the best, but are worlds better than the DTRS system up here.

It is probably a safe statement that most of us who live in the foothills and further West, and listen to DTRS and VHF, would agree that more towers are needed for good DTRS reception. The State likely has that on their planning radar.

You all are correct - there needs to be sufficient coverage in place before agencies transition to the system. If they transition before the coverage exists, they will only need to look in the mirror for the person to blame when it doesn't work well.
