Who can provide some additional info and/or clarification on State Parks frequencies? Including National Forrest.

Some are listed as ONF (is that Ozark or Ouachita?) or will say Ozark and Ouachita. Does the latter really mean it's in use at both? Is ONF Law in use at both? (I've picked up some traffic on it, P25, around Ozark National Forrest but it is in use at both? Statewide?)

Anyone have any insight? Could be that the db is 100% correct (though maybe it could use some clarifying descriptions) but it hasn't had any update in a couple or so years so I thought I'd check and see what others might know about them. Or are they more on AWIN now on the ADPT talkgroups?

What info can you share with the rest of us?

Honestly the USFS aka National Forest should not be part of a STATE Park Page.

Keep in mind data is user submitted, so likely the original contributor made one big submission vs breaking each forest out into it's own portion of the DB

You might also want to search the Wiki, see if anyone has added more recent information, which is usually found via some GOV Doc's but has not been actually OTA (Over the Air) validated as in use.

Yeah, you may be right about how it was submitted. I haven't looked extensively but in a quick search I didn't find any wiki articles or pages that were about these state parks or national forests here in AR. Maybe someone will come along and know. Or, if I get more time maybe I'll be able to look around and find some additional info and do a submission to the db.

I have heard several USFS units on AWIN being dispatched thru the AGFC dispatchers. I can't recall what district TGID they were on, maybe A3 Hot Springs, B3 Camden or B2 Mayflower.

I hear quite a few USFW units out around the Bald Knob Refuge on both AGFC & White Co.'s talkgroups.

USFS identify as "FS <unit number>"
USFW identify as "FW <unit number>"

I leave a radio recording all week & listen to what I've captured on the weekends so I can capture RID's & match up to units. I've figured out that there's a lot more Federal activity than I had previously thought.

Good info. Now that you mention that, I have heard the FS designator up here on AGFC talkgroups, as well.

Just throwing this out there.

As far as Law Enforcement division of ADPT, they do not have their own dispatch and typically go through the sheriff's office dispatch for whatever county the state park is in. I can't speak for the entire state, but in my area in Garland and Hot Spring county, that's where I hear them. They used to go through ASP but haven't in years, however they do have the capability to talk to ASP.

NPS for Hot Springs National Park is dispatched through Hot Springs PD on their main dispatch talk group.

They are using AWIN. I bought about 20+ HT750 35-50 lowband radios from surplus and they work great. I noticed park ranger pickups still have lowband whips on them.

A couple days before and during the eclipse on April 8, I heard a good bit of traffic on ADPT talk groups 4401 and 4403.
