Anyone know anything about State Patrol District Changes?
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and State of Wisconsin website have no information about district changes.

I am listening to District 2 & District 3 right now and I don't hear any difference. Waukesha is still dispatching WSP units in Jefferson County and Fond du Lac is still dispatching WSP units in Dodge, Washington and Ozaukee counties.

No, no they aren't...and they haven't for the last number of weeks.

The region lines changed, and all the moving/changes have been made at this point.

The State Patrol page on the State of Wisconsin website doesn't show any changes. If this happened weeks ago, why no Press Release? What is the State Patrol trying to hide???

These new district boundaries look half-assed to me. Why two posts in the southwest and northwest districts? Will the Fond du Lac post be closed and moved to a more central location in the Green Bay/Appleton area?

There are no districts anymore. There are 5 regions, and within the regions, there are 7 posts. No former district HQ's (now posts) have closed, but some upper management has been consolidated.

Howdy All...

WI State Patrol is now being handled under a 5 region plan instead of 7 Districts. The 5 regions and their dispatch frequencies are:

154.6800 Southwest Region
155.4450 Southeast Region *
154.9350 Northeast Region
155.4450 North Central Region
154.9050 Northwest Region

* The southeast Region is now being simulcasted between 155.4450 and 154.6650, which will be the new frequency.

As far as I know, the above is correct. My "Wisconsin Scanning Homepage" website has an accurate listing of counties and their former district and now current region.

Changes that I've seen in Eau Claire:

Eau Claire Post is now dispatching WSP 600 series cars for Jackson County off of the Black River tower. Jackson County used to have WSP 500 series cars dispatched by Tomah on Black River Tower.

Eau Claire Post (D6) still being dispatched on 154.680 and Spooner Post (D7) still being dispatched on 154.905. This is as of today. Not sure when switchover entirely to 154.905 will take place. It is my understanding that D6 towers are now licensed for 154.905 so it would seem this changeover would occur.

The only base frequency that has changed is the Southeast (old District 2) dispatch. That I am aware, the other regions will not be changing. The SE base freq was changed to 154.665 MHz to mitigate interference from Wausau during the summer, since they shared the same base frequency of 155.445 MHz.

The only reason that F1 audio is being simulcast on 155.445 is to allow other agencies and users to hear it long enough to get their radios/consoles reprogrammed. 155.445 will disappear in the near future.

Even though there are only 5 regions, there are still 7 comm centers. This means that the SW region and the NW region will have 2 comm centers each, and they will retain their base frequencies.
