thanks oilmillcharlie, i seem to have them that you have,i was updating my state police system on my scanner and i was cross referenceing from what radio reference and scan new england have,i also looked at a scannermaster book from 2005 that had a list and that was way outdated.even recently there were updated changes--what we need is a actual state police office (if there are any on this board) that is willing to post since they have a list so they can change over and go to different channels if they go to another troop to assist, some channels are encryted so them dont matter.

They are state police TROOPERs and they will not give you any talkgroup lists.

Starbucks instead of Dunkin?

Honestly,
There is a small group of troopers who actually take the time to know all their equipment, including their radios. I have run into plenty who dont know what, or who, they can talk to outside of the troop primary and secondary channels.

The list in the Database is 99% accurate. They do not make too many lineup changes as it concerns the troops.

Any new changes may occur when the 9600 system is cutover in the future, but will most likely remain the same/similar as far as CSP goes.

In short, no need to reorder the talkgroups when everyone is use the same format for years at this point.

the data base does show most of the channel lineup i just was trying to get it completed, but no big deal, sometime i hear them say on a troop dispatch, switch to a particular channel whcih could be the car to car, when the tragedy happened in newtown they were directing guys to go to certain channels which were probably the statewide comms. thanks for the info provided.

Do some reading up on how a wide area trunked system works.

If the people are going to a channel in which no one else has selected in your area, the towers will not carry the conversation. The reason why you can hear most troop dispatch channels across the state is that there are over 1,000 radios on during the day - anywhere in the state - and while troopers or other personnel are driving around the towers will follow the selected talkgroups.

No TG selected, no audio traffic. This keeps resources freed up.

Excellent and descriptive statement!

Firerick if you are still following AMR ambulances to scenes to see if you can catch them on air, you better be careful or you might be able to ask first hand what talkgroup CSP are on!

Troopers be troopin!
