Isn't this too much information to post if you got this from scanning?....(IMHO this seems to be the same issue as the previous discussions about revealing info over amateur radio if you admit that you heard it on a scanner)

Thank You N2MWE for your post. All Legislature people reguardless if they are with the city, county, state or federal have to follow the same laws that cover the safe operation of a said motor vehicle any where in the United States. These people are not above the law. This is the reason why we have Indiana BMV license plates to let all of us know who they are. This makes it easy to identify them when there is a problem.

The point of the post wasn't that a public official was involved but that specific information obtained by monitoring police frequencies is being published by an admitted "professional", which must mean he is profiting from revealing this information in some way., if by nothing more than enhancing his "professional "image. Revealing monitored information for gain is specifically prohibited by the rules so liberally quoted within the last few days........ Quoting a newspaper article about these events doesn't break any laws, but repeating what you are hearing on your scanner seems to be skirting the edge of legality.

Note the " IMHO" in my first post, same here in my last one on this subject...

.Note:)Indiana State Senator) and not US Senator. If this would have been a US Senator the plate would have read US Senator. It does not matter but both a State Senator and a US Senator have to follow the same driving rules that we do and they are not above anyt laws. Any Police Officer across the US can write a traffic ticket for speed, and can make a legal arrest for either person if that person is under the influence of alcohol. Also if a State Senator or a US Senator cause a serious accident with death they also can be placed under arrest.

an even BIGGER yawn.

Why do you care? Ignore it and stick to CA breaking news if it bothers you that much.

Tim, please try to keep posts in this forum for major to semi-major incidents. Every day dispatches for erratic driving, etc. (no matter who they involve) isn't considered a major or semi-major incident.
