Hi Folks,

We received the following user submission - can you guys help us make heads or tails out of this, so we can get it added to the database for KS? Especially the EMS freqs? State EMS? What zones areas do these match up with?

We're not sure exactly what this means, and PM's to the sender haven't been answered.

Thanks!

KHP Troopers are now using the EMS freq as a talkaround. Probably worth putting in, if you haven't already. Each tower has a color, so the EMS freq is the same color as KHP freq.
866.6875 MHz KHP Red
868.6750 MHz KHP Blue
868.9250 MHz KHP Brown
866.7125 MHz KHP Yellow
868.8625 MHz KHP Violet
868.6125 MHz KHP Grey
867.9375 MHz KHP Green
867.1000 MHz KHP Pink
855.9625 MHz TalkAround
868.8375 MHz TalkAround
867.9125 MHz EMS Red
867.1625 MHz EMS Blue
866.1250 MHz EMS Brown
868.4250 MHz EMS Yellow
866.1500 MHz EMS Violet
867.3625 MHz EMS Grey
868.6500 MHz EMS Green
867.6125 MHz EMS Pink

KHP Ttower List

go here and look at this map
yo umay have to print it to see it properly

http://www.kcnet.com/~haroldv/KHPMap.gif

this map should help
you understand the color/freq scheme

all the Kansas Counties have a NPSPAC freq assigned to them

one for kHP, one for KDOT, and One for EMS use

it appeears that the khp is using the eMS freqs for a chit chat channel
if not in range of each other for simplex comms.

since most of the EMS stuff is on med channles or cell phone

hope this helps.
