Statewide 452.450

I see that there is a statewide license (WNZL712) which is assigned 452.450 / 457.450 MHz. It has a control point of NMSU in Las Cruces. It has emission designators of 20K0F1D, 11K0F1D which are digital modulations. In Las Cruces, I can hear digital signals, but I dont know what format they are.

Does anybody hear this in their area? Any idea what it is?

Those two emission designations indicate basically wide and narrow modulation. They are not "digital" modulation. They indicate the information being transmitted is not voice but data instead.

Ah yes, I miss spoke. I was over here W2SJW - Radio Sounds listening to the various modulation schemes. The signals 'sounds' like DMR or maybe Harris OpenSky.

Most likely it's DMR you're hearing. Looks like that freq is licensed for 7K emissions as part of a trunked DMR system.

Any MotoTRBO Connect Plus systems around?

I dont know if connect plus is around here. However, I used a Yagi and discovered that the signal is stronger down towards El Paso. It seems there are no emmissions from the Las Cruces area.

There is a licensee down in El Paso that is authorized on that frequency, but only for analog. They might be operating DMR...
