Statewide MARCS system(s).

This is specific to Ohio, but I assume that all the others work similiarly......

I programmed two sites within radio ragne of my location. I then selected the talk groups centric to those sites, as, that is what I generally want to hear.

I also programmed some "general" state-wide groups (no additonal sites). Now, I am assuming that when those state side groups go active in my area I will hear them?

Or.... am I missing something?

As it stands right now, I hear the two state police districs as I want. Just not sure about the statewide talkgroups.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Yes. I think you have it. Since MARCS is a Smartzone, you will only hear the statewide TGs locally when a subscriber for one those TGs affiliates with a local site.
