At my computer, duh!
Yeesh. I don't suppose I need to tell scanner listeners. But if you HAVE been listening to the radio, you'd know that all these yankees that move down and complain that us southerners don't know how to drive on snow fail to show the smallest lick of respect for ice. The notion of mist freezing to all surfaces for 24 hours just doesn't enter their minds. They - after all - have 4WD.

I thought Guilford County Fire was gonna switch over to Dispatch 2, but it never happened.

Here in the South CHarlotte area we received nothing. A slight mist yesterday, but never got below freezing until this morning. The strong winds must have dried everything off before it got cold enough to freeze.

My parents live in Durham. I went down there in a so-called "snow storm". I couldn't believe how some people do drive. Doing 15mph on a freeway with their "4-way flasher traction control system" on does nothing but create a safety hazard.

I mean really, there was barely snow covered roads and the snow drifted as you drove over it... When I got to the house, there was 24/7 live coverage over less than in inch of snow..and its not like NC never gets it.

When I saw the camera zoom in on a puddle of water with 4 snow flakes around it... I pretty much lost it.

Then again, I drove 200 miles from CT to NY last night at 2am in the Blizzard. I actually did use 4wd for the first time for any lenght of distance last night. Works well!

Isn't it insane how they get in the Carolinas when even the threat of a few snow flakes is present. I couldn't believe how crazy it was when I first moved here. Now I'm used to it. I just stay off the roads. I know how to drive in snow, but I'm worried about the other guy hitting me. Oh, and don't forget to buy that milk and bread, LoL.

Hahahaha! I almost forgot about that...

There was a mad dash my mother was telling me with everyone running to the stores to "Stock up".

This was a year after the ice storms, so I can kinda see it with some people, but the entire forcast was for 1-3 inches, and 45-50 degree's the next day.

Sad...
