I want to mount a dish on top of a shed in my backyard to receive L-band Inmarsat STD-C and put a Raspberry Pi in the shed.

I can't find software for linux. If anyone knows something please let me know. My idea is to autonomously receive multiple channels at once and feed the data to a web interface (running on the Pi) or to Scytale via UDP. It doesn't matter if it's free or paid software.

I have electricity in the shed and also a WiFi connection. However I can't lead a LAN cable to this shed. (else I would have more options to get the signal or decode to my house)

You could run spyserver on the pi and connect to that via wifi to do your decoding. Multiple sdrsharp copies with scytalec plugin fed to single quickui instance.

I found a Java based one by Tekmanoid which should fly as long as you have a JRE installed, but I was unable to find any download of a trial/demo version to test. The RTL-SDR website has a page from 2017 describing that software. The link to the Tekmanoid page is here.

Let me know if you find something else as I am running Linux too. I had not known about STD-C before, but it is very interesting from what I see.

There is no trial/demo version of tekmanoid. Can't say about it's functionality on anything other than windows as that's where I use it....works well on that (and decodes more message types than scytale-c)
