Stearns County Marine Patrol

Does Stearns County Sheriff still do marine patrols on the lakes? If so, what TG or Freq do they use?

I don't see a talkgroup listed for them, so they probably just use the main dispatch talkgroup with the rest of the sheriff's dept. According to the RR database, they are 2600 units so listen for units calling in as 26xx.

They use the Sheriff Main channels. Although they were still using VHF radios (as of July 2007), Stearns has them patched though to the corresponding Digital TG. I am pretty sure they still use SCSO 1. I am guessing they may not be migrating Water Patrol over to Digital because i would rather give Part Time non-licensed staff one of the 80 Old $800 Radios they still have laying around versus giving them a $2500 radio that could easily fall into a Lake and is only used for 5 months of the year...

2548 is the full time deputy who takes care of the water patrol...
