anyone know if they are now gone digital in this area.we used to get just one channel (analog only) here but as of three weeks ago nothing. the input frequency was 155.970 and now just scratching noise.
i know Corner brook is listed on the data base but nothing for the rest of the area.
anyway to find out what they are currently using in Stephenville and Port-aux-basque.

I heard P25 (the above) control channels in Point Leamington, Gander, and Glovertown when I was there last September. No talkgroup/radio activity though.

For what it's worth, here's what I got in those areas:

P25 system ID 0000C-00C
Sites:
030-030 Point Leamington - only one frequency - 160.59 - channel 00-1958
033-033 Gander - four frequencies - 155.28 (control) ch 00-0896, 155.7 ch 00-0980, 155.97 ch 00-1034, 160.485 (control) ch 00-1937 (alternating control channel)
038-038 Glovertown - only one frequency - 160.59 - channel 00-1958

Note that these are only my best guesses at where the strongest signal was received. These frequencies don't appear in the TAFL, and there's no guarantee that I have the right towns.

Stephenville RCMP is the correct frequency - it's P25 digital; you will need a digital scanner to hear them.

According to the licenses in the TAFL, Stephenville FD is 159.3.

No it's analog only with no trunking capabilities.
