Nice to see some media coverage. Hope they keep updating.

VAQ-135 Wikipedia says they're callsign is "THUNDER". Haven't found anything else communications wise yet.

Heard so far this morning
Camp Shelby - TANK?
AR302 - BOLT31 | 60-0336 and SNTRY50. Sentry gave his tail over the air as 56-0007, but I had a 82-0007 on the radar box as SCOUT19 at the same FL. No idea if related or not.

285.475 - Houston Center freq. Camp Shelby units are using.
354.1 - Gulfport Approach

WHODAT / W-155 - JAZZ, REX, FAMOUS, RIVER, VILLIAN, HOT BOX, GUARD DOG

EDIT: Ok Sentry50 (AE11F0) just finished tanking up and turned back on his mode-s with the squawk code given him(0542). No idea why the difference in tail codes though. Still has SCOUT19 in the mode-s callsign too btw.
Also BOLT32 | 62-3517 is in formation with BOLT31
..and now K135 PISTN71 | AE068E | 62-3529 just popped up on the box. No radio comms heard yet

Cool!

Looks like maybe one of our Key Field KC-135's may have a mode-s mis-code
I have a bad hex code of 520291 on the box now showing KEYS 10 in the callsign field now. (squawk 7444)

299.325 - VT86 TAC 23 - HAMMER T-45s blowing up s*** around Foley, AL.

Seems not only do we have fake countries but it looks like they are having some fun with mode-s callsigns too.
I got a C-130 as ROLER 31, (assuming RULER) and a KC-135 as KAKE11 (assume JAKE) LOL

252.8 - Keesler AFRC - HOBBY15 calling in a plane report/RTB

233.625 - BEAST41, SPOOKY44, VULTURE, Shelby Tower
EDIT: FAMOUS/AMOS? and PRIMUS now here too.
FAMOUS/AMOS? - music on. (Starting to think this is the EA-18s, (maybe PRIMUS too))
Been talking about KING74 (HC-130), who is now on the radar box.
SPOOKY calling WARHORSE64
SPOOKY lot of calls to 1 5 DELTA and DUSTOFF11
HOBBY12 in the mix now

From the previous post
AE129E 87-0128 SPOKY02 2014-10-30 02:48:54 AC-130U United States USAF | 1SOW | 4SOS [KHRT]
AE0619 65-0974 KING74 2014-10-30 02:38:05 HC-130P United States NY ANG | 106RQW | 102RQS [KFOK]
AE1442 05-8156 HOBBY12 2014-10-29 23:26:05 C-130J-30 United States AFRC | 403AW | 815AS [KBIX]

Possible this U-28 is involved to, he's been around the whole time at least.
A565E6 05-0447 50447 2014-10-30 02:46:39 U-28A United States USAF | 1SOW | 319SOS [KHRT]

Plus I suspect this is a U-28 mis-code too. They often send ALLIED1 as their mode-s callsign, and he's been around the whole time too.
6B2BFE ------ ALLIED 1 2014-10-30 02:35:55 --- --- ---

trying to get live-military-mode-s.eu to update their information is nigh on impossible so I quit trying a long time ago.

Search results for "Southern Strike" at dvidshub.net

WXXV 25. late as always...
Southern Strike 15 Military Exercise Held on Coast

newsms.fm There is an audio interview with Colonel Craig Ziamba at the bottom that explains the overall scenario. (and fun! :))
Southern Strikes: Preparing For Battle, but Having a Little Fun, Too

377.8 - Gulfport ANG Ops / Trent Lott CRTC - WOW! Just heard activity on this freq for the first time.

May want to keep these around too, see if they are still good Gulfport ARNG OPS - 41.6 and 241.0

242.4 - BEAST06 calling WARLORD - Published as a 186 ARW Ops freq. I've got ADFD74 on the radar box, which is allegedly a RC-26B, so maybe it's their counterdrug plane :D
244.3 - also just got a hit on this one, something about finding the coordinates

244.3 - Unclear callsign to what sounded like CONDOR OPS
"can you pass the friendly grids over to CHARLIE43 and the JOC? at Stennis"
gave some coordinates for the crippled vessel
CHARLIE43 sending out 2 RIBs
RIBs eta 1 hour, will contact on this freq. (244.3)
Positive ID on the air asset is KEYS10, so it's almost certainly the 186 ARWs RC-26B (ADFD74) :D Calling RAZORBACK just now, I'll assume that's the RIBs.

377.825 - BAYONET with KEYS calling off coordinates. eta 30 mins
what sounds like "NASTY MAN" joining the mix now.

For today, so far
Camp Shelby and WHODAT / W-151 pretty much more of the same as above

The early morning stuff above with KEYS10 was just east of the north tip of Chandeleur Island.

Some other random stuff,
238.9 - AR646 Primary - WYLIE43 KC-135
257.25 - TACO1 and CATBIRD ?? mentioned ready for Area 4 at the top of the hour, asked if any music indication, and mentioned push to 277.5 to start working through the scenario.
293.55 - Unknown - Possibly something to do with the previous, kind of weak, talking about and trying to troubleshoot some kind of electronic system on the plane.

Oh and a DUH! moment, 353.775 is Seabreeze Primary

285.475 - Houston Center - MUGGER1, flight of 2 F-35A, a little later joins the fray at Shelby on 228.85, then on 271.225, then on 342.5

NEW!
310.575 - RIVER and FAMOUS/AMOS playing offshore. RIVER also joined the fray this morning during the "usual" JAZ/REX/PRIMUS etc. playtime.

293.775 - 2 pilots air-air (at least), unfamiliar with the area, coming into Navy New Orleans from the sound of it.

233.0 - BASE and KING 74 (HC-130) AE0619 65-0974 . same one as the other day.

244.3 and 377.825 - The RC-26 is up too

252.8 - 403d CP - HOBBY16 AE1163 02-8155 inbound for spot 3. TEAL25 (I think), 30 mins out with 17 pacs

376.0 - VOODOO, some kind of surveillance op. (there's apparently TWO RC-26s up right now so this could be the other one. KEYS is on 377.825 again)

377.8 - CRTC? - unreadable 15 mikes out with 17K fuel.

168.6125 - 123.0 PL - USFS R8 UC1 - US Forest service working a woods fire a couple miles east of me.(with MFC, Crane, and everybody else)

292.1 - POISON (I think) flight air-air, talking about setting up for AR, push to 327.6, AR103 primary
327.6 - AR103 Primary - setting up with TURBO90 for fueling.
