1525-Axeman flt (2 X A-10Cs MD ANG) on discrete (266.6) discussing whether to land at Martin State with wet runways. Lead said there was very light tail wind so he was comfortable with the wet runway. Landed at Martin State (121.3)

I think may be for Langley F-22's enroute Lakenheath.. Seems every time they spot a tanker
at Dover it is for Langley Birds. Prob another out of McGuire will meet them off Snow Hill MD
and run them up to Bangor area testing A/R etc along the way.May have a spare or two as well.
They almost always like to start out early say 3-4 am local as well. Usually the one time F-22's are not stealthy
as they add two ER wing mounted fuel tanks to make the long trip.... Will try and follow them if awake :)

Mark,

Couple of evenings ago 3 KC-135Rs from the 756th at ADW went out to W386/W122 area. Wonder ii it was some sort of training/rehearsal for a night time trip out of Langley?

BTW had an interesting interchange on twitter this morning about a Score 92 flight in your backyard.

The original poster mentioned it was an MQ-9B, which I thought was interesting. Another said E-2D.

It all revolved around the hex code block AE2FD0-AE2FD8.

Yes, I know that Score is the VX-20 c/s. But Score 92 is not unique to an E-2D only. I have seen one of their F/A-18 use it.

Also the navy has been experimenting using the MQ-9 as a relay platform for sonobuoy / ASW mission.

So you and the MD gang might want to keep an eye on AE2FD2/D3/D6. I’m not saying 100% that these are static and used exclusively or ? I am inclined to believe that the three hex codes above and in this block could be used randomly for various platforms and NOT assigned to a particular airframe.

I am watching it but you guys are closer to this than me.

Well I've confirmed multiple times that AE2DF6 is an E-2D and even the Buno. Never been any indication of being anything else based on my analysis.
I've confirmed AE2FD2 as an E-2 multiple times. No indication of anything else.

AE2FD3's flight profiles have been comparable. It was flying on the 10th. I had to go out so I couldn't listen. Parked my scanner to record on 285.2 to hopefully hear them check in with ops when they were done. I got nothing.

There are three hexes active out of Pax and VX-20 has three E-2Ds.

Somebody somewhere incorrectly associated one of the hexes to an MQ-9 and it keeps getting perpetuated.

Looking for a couple of SAM flights in the next few days, Sec of State returns from Prague Czech Republic in the next day or two, only to leave again as he leads the delegation to the Dominican Republic to attend the inauguration of the new leader to be held on August 16th.

Guessing both flights will be SAM flights unless they have another call sign for Sec of State.
