1455 EST-- ADS-B showing E-6B TACAMO # 164784 (Pardo-85) off the Delaware coast over the Atlantic after departing Pax River.
Rgr Ron heard here on ZDC Sea Isle 281.450 about that same time..
Wonder if just for fun PARDO-85 was tracking Wallops Antares rocket launch at 15:21 local..
I went out to try and eyeball launch myself but just too much high hazy cloud coverage to the South of me here
not too mention Antares shooting off to the southeast away from here.

4:55PM local DEVIL 91 flight of 3? inbound Atlantic City from the West.
First on 335.600>ZDC 363.000>ZDC Kenton 354.150>A/C apch 327.125 and heard on their Base Ops 261.000 maybe using as A/A.
Sounds like coming back from some long distance road trip with the 91 callsign

When he departed Pax River he flew east then headed north and flew right over Wallops Island & continued north until the southern tip of NJ before heading out over the Atlantic.

1705 local- Had EMPIRExxx coming through the area on various ZNY ATC channels. Was in another room so I couldn't get an eyeball on the radio. Sounded like a fighter type.

Maybe just some ICBM missile tracking practice.. Antares rocket prob looks like a regular ICBM anyway upon launching
or just seeing if anyone else offshore is watching the launch :)

Just wondering if anyone can help answer this question? Watched Thunderbird 15, a C-17 Tail 07-7176 make it's way down to Daytona along the coast. Just before it reached FLA it changed it's callsign to RCH241.

My question is will that plane usually use RCH241 when not using TBird15 or does the RCH callsign change depending on the mission/location?

Also seeing 09-0015 headed back to DC followed by AF1 82-8000 and an AF C-37 tail 97-0401, callsign Exec1F headed back south.

Copied TBIRD 15 with Dover CP reported troubleshooting a couple of faults.
Wasn't showing any mode s callsign here departing. Maybe got fixed on the way.
Rch callsigns are usually computer assigned from TACC at Scott AFB so are random in mission order with a few exceptions.
Tango suffix are Potus Stateside support flights usually.
RCH 1815,1816 are State Dept overseas supply missions.. They usually make many stops down range.
Also some mil aircraft have two mode s transponders so may change when needed.
